As most of you will know, since November we have been working on refurbishing our very first venue, which finally opened this week! So far, we’ve had our Home Ed Sports session on Tuesday, our Wednesday Pokemon Walks, a private tennis lesson, and our Saturday Football for SEND Children, Friends & Siblings. We also got a visit from Silver Sabers, who ran their first lightsaber training session in our hub this Saturday.
We are over the moon to finally have this space ready to use, after what has felt like a lifetime of working to get us to this point. Though there may be the odd plumber or electrician visiting in the next few weeks, we are now open weekdays 10am-4pm, and Saturdays 9am-12pm – why not come and say hello? We even have a working kettle, so can make you a nice hot drink if you do decide to pop in for a chat.
Here are some photos of what the first week of the Inclusion Hub has entailed, from sessions to a visit from Dave our office dog!:

Whether you’re attending a session, have some questions or suggestions for Defiant Sports, or simply want to see what the Inclusion Hub looks like in person, they’ll be someone at the Hub ready to meet you and chat. Here’s to fully inclusive sport finally having a home!
