What was the Paralympic Pedal?
The Paralympic Pedal was a sponsored cycling event where participants could attempt to cycle, walk, wheel etc. the distance from Defiant Sports’ Inclusion Hub to the Paralympic Stadium in Paris – the Stade De France.
To join in, participants would grab a sponsorship form, get as many sponsors as they could, and update us on how far they’d travelled after they went out for a pedal.
The total distance we were aiming for was a whooping 305km – which we hit!
All participants received a certificate, and those who raised £50 or more were rewarded with a commemorative t-shirt.
Money raised from the event went towards the renovation of the Defiant Sports Inclusion Hub.
