Help us Build the First Fully Accessible Sports Centre in East Sussex

🚨 Help Needed! 🚨

We’re currently working towards building the first fully accessible sports facility in East Sussex, and could use your help!

In order to get the funding required to build such a big community asset, we’ll need to show the impact it’d have on the community. We need you to send us letters detailing why it is important for such a facility to exist locally.

We will make the facility accessible via:

Landscape: Having a changing places toilet and ensuring the entire building is fully accessible to people with mobility issues and wheelchair users.

Design: Easy to open doors, a welcome desk with friendly accessibility trained staff, clear and accessibility-friendly signage, windows and seating that will allow players to participate seated comfortably.

Coaching: Staff who are trained on disability and adapting to player’s needs as well as all sessions and activities being fully adaptable and inclusive.

If there’s anything you’d like to see in an accessible sports facility, let us know!

The more support we get for this project, the easier it’ll be to get funding and make it a reality.

You can email your letters to us at info@defiantsports.org.uk or send them physically to Defiant Sports Inclusion Hub, Archery Recreation Ground, Willoughby Crescent, BN22 8RA, Eastbourne, East Sussex.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you! 🖤❤️
