Following the Rotary Club of Sovereign Harbour’s collection held this Bank Holiday weekend at Morrisons, whereby they raised and donated £200 to Defiant Sports, we’d like to announce that we are thrilled to now be their small charitable organisation! They were even kind enough to let us join them at the collection, where you might have spotted coaches Joel and Sam, or managing director Loretta sporting their Defiant Sports tees.
As a member of the Rotary Foundation – the largest grant giving organisation in the world – the Rotary Club of Sovereign Harbour can often be seen supporting local events, fundraising or doing their bit for the community. Just last night they went out at the Smugglers Inn supporting You Raise Me Up.
Alongside Defiant Sports, the Rotary Club of Sovereign Harbour also support Eastbourne Blind Society – a charity close to our hearts, with our Friday sound tennis sessions sponsored by them since 2015.
Branching out within the community is paramount for our ability to provide and listen to the wants and needs of those local. Our partnership with the Rotary Club of Sovereign Harbour is sure to spread word of Defiant Sports in the community and help us expand our links with both local charities, organisations and people.
We can’t wait to see the wonderful things this partnership will bring about, and look forward to working with the Rotary Club of Sovereign Harbour for the foreseeable future!
