This International Women’s Day we want to ensure that all of the girls and women we work with have the self-esteem to be able to achieve their potential. We want to help girls and women push against barriers that they may face getting into sports, and help them achieve great things!
There are many great girls and women in sport that face challenges getting into the industry and getting recognition for their accomplishments. Sky Brown, a 14-year-old athlete has overcome these challenges and made headlines recently for being one of the youngest professional skateboarders in the world.
Sky Brown won a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and most recently won gold at the World Championships in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. Sky started skating when she was 3 years old, and by the time she was 10, she was already competing in international competitions.
Loretta will soon be representing International Women’s Day on the 12th of March at the International Women’s Event in Lewes.
Have a great day!
