We are opening, hooray! After what has been a very long lockdown, we are excited to be opening the Inclusion Hub to our community once again. Monday 12th April we will be returning to our Inclusion Hub as a giant step towards normality for Defiant Sports and our players. #TeamDefiant is so ready to have all of our players back at our Hub spending time with each other and participating in sport in person again!
Every single one of our sessions will be returning to our schedule! Currently we are running the following sessions: Home Ed Sports, Football for SEND, Siblings and Friends, Youth Club 12yrs+, Kids Club 8-11yrs, Pokémon Walks, LD Tennis, and Football for Adults with Disabilities. Starting 12th April, we will also be resuming the Adult Social and Sensory Arts and Crafts sessions. Find out more about our sessions here: https://defiantsports.org.uk/sports-activities/
Also, we are beyond excited to finally have the opportunity to have the grand opening for our sensory room! We are so excited to have this addition to our Hub and we cannot wait to see it in use and be enjoyed by all of our members. Our sensory room as well as our brand-new interactive touch table will be unveiled. Come on down on the 12th, say hi to everyone and take a moment to explore our new areas!
Lastly, we will have our Changing Places toilet open for the 12th of April as well. This will be the fourth changing places toilet in Eastbourne and the first of its kind in Sovereign Harbour! Every single person is welcome at Defiant. We are trying our absolute best to build an inclusive, accepting atmosphere so everyone feels safe and secure within our building. Whether you are taking part in a session, or just in the local area and in need of an accessible toilet, you are welcome to use our Changing Places toilet.
As always, stay defiant!
