The sun has got his hat on, and we’re coming out to play!
With sunshine on its way, we want to make the most of the opportunities this lovely weather brings with it. As part of this summer mission to spread the word of Defiant Sports, we have been fortunate enough to be one of the nine chosen charities to take part in the ‘Beach Life Bungee Jump’. Taking place on 14th July, Eastbourne seafront, thrill-seekers have the chance to get their adrenaline rush from the 175-foot fall, whilst simultaneously raising money for a good cause. Though there are many to choose from, we would naturally encourage this good cause to be Defiant Sports!
Whilst in the process of promoting our latest summer venture, which still has 10 spots to fill (you could make that 9!), we set up our very own Golden Giving page. They are a not-for-profit platform, with over 100,000 supporters, aiming to have a “positive impact in society and local communities”. Where some fundraising websites only allow registered charities, Golden Giving have a far broader scope, allowing Community Interest Companies (CIC) much like ourselves! Additionally, with community projects and benefiting society at their core, they work at the lowest cost, ensuring the fundraisers gain the majority of their raised donations.
With the upcoming bungee jump opportunity, and our exciting new feature on Golden Giving, why not combine the pair and fundraise for your charity bungee jump via our page? It’s easy enough to do, simply create your own fundraising page on Golden Giving and link it to ours (for those less computer savvy, we can give a helping hand!). By doing this, you not only keep things simpler for yourself, avoiding the age-old hassle of fumbling around, searching for the hidden sponsorship sheet, but you make it easier for everyone else too. This way, those who wish to donate can do so immediately, rather than the usual “oh I must sponsor so-and-so” that continues to slip people’s minds, and we can also keep an eye on how you’re doing. Then, as soon as you reach the £100 target, we can refund your £20 booking fee immediately, instead of you having to collect the donations, keep track of that dreaded sponsorship form, and then bring it all to us.
