TerraCycle are an eco-friendly company aiming to reduce waste. They offer collection points for various items, which are then turned into a “wide range of products and materials”.
As part of our mission to make the world a friendlier, healthier, and more inclusive space, Defiant Sports are now part of this great initiative. At the Inclusion Hub, we now have our first two collection points – Lavazza Eco coffee pods and laundry packaging. If you regularly discard either of these products, come and deposit them with us at Defiant Sports!
Why should you join the TerraCycle community and all they’re trying to achieve? They were founded to create “national recycling systems for previously non-recyclable waste streams”, hoping to “eliminate the idea of waste” altogether. Their aim is to recycle all things that currently end up in landfill, creating a greener, eco-friendlier future for us all. They’ve already got 21 million people collecting waste in 16 countries, and have diverted 2.5 billion pieces of waste from landfill into up/re-cycle! Why not get on bored?
The Inclusion Hub is open every Monday-Friday 10am-4pm (closing at 2pm if weather is bad), and 9am-12pm on Saturday – come and see us at our sessions, or donate your Lavazza Eco coffee pods and laundry packaging!
