After receiving the lease for our new Sovereign Harbour based venue (situated in the old Blockbusters next to Frankie & Benny’s), our Aviva Community Crowdfunding page going live today came at the perfect time!
Our goal for this crowdfunder is to gather funds for the renovation of our new venue, including everything from plumbing and toilets to sports flooring and tennis nets. If you have a few pennies to spare, and would like to help us on this mission to give inclusion and Defiant Sports a home, anything would be massively appreciated!
To donate and find out more information about our Aviva Community Crowdfunding page, click here. This page will tell you why the Inclusion Hub is so important, and what your donations will help us achieve.
Alternatively, if you’re unable to pledge any money to the renovation of our venue, but know of a business or someone who could help donate materials (e.g. plasterboard, paint, electricity cables and sockets, timber, sanitary ware), vouchers (e.g. Screwfix, Wickes, B&Q, etc.), or can help in any other way, please don’t hesitate to contact us! Either drop Defiant Sports a message on Facebook, email info@defiantsports.org.uk or contact Joel or Loretta directly.
The Inclusion Hub will help our sessions run no matter the weather, and remove further barriers to participation in sport, as well as being a place to feel less isolated in the community. Any help to get the Inclusion Hub up and running would mean a great deal to Defiant Sports, our players and the wider community, so please do help in any way that you can.
Here’s to inclusive sport and good wellbeing!
