LTA Tennis Awards 2022 Regional Winners – Disability Award & Competition of the Year

As you may have heard, on the 6th of February, we won both the Disability and Competition of the Year award at the LTA Tennis Awards. Two months later as of 6th April we are proud to be able to say that we won both awards regionally as well, making use one of the 7 to win in these categories!

Being nominated alongside stars such as Emma Raducanu, The Women’s Singles Player of the year, and Cam Norrie, The Men’s Singles Player of the Year, is an incredible honour and we are proud to have achieved this.

In acknowledgement of our success, alongside other winners, we will be presented with trophies and certificates at a 2022 grass-court tournament. This is not all however, as achieving a Regional Award means will be put forward as a National finalist putting us against winners from Tennis Scotland and Tennis Wales.

We are thrilled at the opportunity and hope that come 19th May, where the winners and runners-up will be announced by a virtual ceremony, we will see our name under finalists.

Regardless of the future results, we are happy to see all the effort we put in be recognised but also, we are grateful for the support each and every one of you give us, we would not be here without you.

As always, stay Defiant!
