This Sunday, August 1st 2021, the Friends of Seaside Rec are hosting their Annual Family Fun Day. There will be a range of activities and experiences at the event for children and their families to enjoy, including all of the following:
- Live music including the Pentacle Drummers
- A dog show
- A Punch and Judy puppet show
- A bouncy castle
- Artisan stalls
- A raffle
- A bar
- Hot and cold refreshments, including an ice cream van

The Friends of Seaside Rec was formed in April 2014, for the purpose of improving and developing the 2.19 hectare green space in Devonshire Ward. They hold annual fun days, including this one, to raise money, and they have used it “to assist the council to construct an all weather path for disabled access to the park, major improvements to the playground equipment and planting of saplings.”
In addition to all of the other activities at the event, Defiant Sports will be there! Aaron, one of our coaches, will be at hand to demonstrate his circus skills, as well as to share what we do as an organisation, including the range of inclusive and accessible sporting activities and other sessions we offer to children and adults.
